Born in 1949 in Gravesend, Kent, Kevin Warren took up pottery at the age of twenty three, studying ‘Studio Pottery’ at Medway College of Art and Design. He successfully completed the course in 1977, following which he trained for four years with studio potter Mike Goddard.
Kevin has been making beautiful, functional and affordable pots for over fifty years now. He works in red and black earthenware clay, decorated using coloured slips, painted, poured or trailed and sgraffito. His pots are bisque fired to 980c and then glazed to 1100c in an electric kiln. He is living and working in Aylsham, Norfolk.
